The Exhibition Opening Reception
Opening night guests were treated to an evening of edu-tainment with presenter, Henry Panion, III, PhD (Music Education, Music Theory). Widely known as conductor and arranger for Stevie Wonder and for personal works programmed by major orchestras throughout the U.S., this Cultural Ambassador for Birmingham and two-time Grammy Award winner (among several other national accolades), was captivating. Among other attendees in appreciation of the exhibition were Dr. Lawrence Pijeaux, CEO Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and Mr. Rodney Hall of the Alabama Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
